The Selection Limited Edition Series wines are now released with this being the 20th Anniversary, the line up is the best from the last 20 years. That being said, the best were all in the past 5 years. The series is as follows:
The price for the kits this year are $180 for on-premise and $124 to take the kit home. As usual we are taking pre-orders with a deposit of $25 per wine kit. To guarantee the kits of your choice pre-orders need to placed before December 11, 2009. If you purchase any combination of 5 Limited Edition kits from this years series you will receive a free Vinturi Wine Aerator ($60 value). We will also be offering oak barrel aging on the red wines for an additional $30 plus taxes on a first come, first serve basis. The barrel spots are limited and requests for them are high, so please let us know with your pre-order as soon as possible to ensure you are not left without a spot.
With the announcement of the series here is a reminder of the Limited Edition Release Wine Tasting with food pairings. This event will take place on Sunday November 8th, 2009. We will have two seatings one at 5pm (Now Sold Out) and one at 8pm (still a good amount of tickets left) and will be located at the Old Mill Boathouse in Port Moody. Tickets for the event are available for purchase at the store on a first come first serve basis and are $10 each. Each seating only has 100 spots and are expected to go quickly, so do not wait too long. Even if you are not interesting in this years Limited Edition Series this night promises to be a fun night for anyone who enjoys wine. We also encourage you let friends and family know about the event as new customers are welcome as well.
Compared to other wine tasting events we have held in the past, this one will be a little more interactive with a food pairing portion. The wine tasting and food pairing part of the night will be presented by local Sommelier/Wine Guy John Gerum of West Coast Wine Education. We are very excited to have someone of John's knowledge and reputation be able to work with us on this event.
