Wow the Olympics have been great and for those that didn't stay around hope you enjoyed your trips.

We are very excite to announce a new service we are offering. This service is for custom gift baskets. We are calling the service Build-A-Basket. We have brought in a selection of gourmet food items to go with our already unique gift ware and quality glass ware. The service allows you to come in and choose the items you want in the basket, the size & type of basket and colour scheme for the wrapping. As well if there is a personal item or item we don't carry that you want to include not a problem just bring it in so we can include it. Also if you don't  want to spend the time picking your items out, if you give us a value and theme we can make one that way as well. For more information see out Gift Basket page on the website.

Tip Of The Month

Several Wine Tips That Will Change Your Wine Enjoyment

1. When swirling wine, don’t lift the glass from the table and you won’t spill a drop. If you’d paid any attention in your physics classes, you’d understand.

2. A waiter’s corkscrew resembling a folding knife is the only kind you need. Buy one with a foil-cutter that pops out of the handle. Novices will gaze at you in awe.

3. When ordering wine by the glass in a restaurant, always ask when the bottle was opened. If it wasn’t that day, keep asking until they come up with something that hasn’t gone bad.

4. Always keep a bottle of brut champagne in the fridge. Second to a fire extinguisher, it is the best emergency equipment in your house.

5. Pay no attention to challenges from wine geeks. Particularly obnoxious questions: (a) “How long was this en barrique?” (b) “Did the aftertaste linger as long for you as it did for me?” (c) “Isn’t there a hint of brett?”

6. Learn to identify a corked wine. Allowing your guests to drink a wine contaminated with TCA is more embarrassing than walking around with your fly unzipped.

7. When you take your elderly mother out to dinner, always order a German wine.
